This document is the summary of the Coalition's Annual Community Meeting held at St. Luke Church on Saturday, August 22, 2009. In attendance were approximately 170 neighbors. A wide variety of topics of interest to our community were covered. Speakers included District 1 Marin County Supervisor Susan Adams, San Rafael City Manager Ken Nordoff, San Rafael Battalion Fire Chief Jeff Buscher and Coalition Board and Committee members. |

| Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods | Founded in 1992, the Federation serves as an umbrella and advocacy group for all neighborhoods in San Rafael, south of Puerto Suello Hill. |

| Marin Audubon Society | The Marin Audubon Society (MAS) was established in 1956. MAS was one of the founders of Audubon Canyon Ranch. MAS also was instrumental in protecting Bothin Marsh in Mill Valley, and the Marin Islands National Wildlife Refuge in San Rafael, which supports the largest heron rookery in San Francisco Bay. In 1985, MAS began to restore and enhance wetlands. With the help of grants from State Federal and private sources, MAS implemented habitat restoration projects at Redwood High School in Larkspur, Corte Madera Ecological Reserve, Gallinas Creek in San Rafael, Mill Valley Marsh, and Rush Creek/Cemetery Marshes in unincorporated Novato. |

| Office of Emergency Services (OES) | The mission of the San Rafael Office of Emergency Services (EOS) is to working collaboratively with partner agencies and organizations to coordinate the mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery from the effects of emergencies and disasters that threaten the lives, property, and the environment of San Rafael.
