| EIR Scoping Letter November 28, 2005 |
An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was been determined to be required for the Reclamation Plan for the SRRQ. That effort is underway with the definition of the scope that the EIR will cover. To that end, public meetings have been held and the Coalition provided input to the County in this area. The Committee wrote an EIR scoping letter on November 28, 2005 to the Marin County Community Development Agency regarding issues surrounding the scope of this EIR. |

On June 22, 2007 the SRRQ Amended Surface Mining and Quarrying Permit Initial Study became public. This long-awaited document concludes that the proposed project may have a significant effect on the environment and an EIR is required. The scope of issues to be addressed is outlined in the Initial Study. On February 22, 2008 the County of Marin released the SRRQ Draft Environmental Impact Report for public review and comment. This document is no longer available on the County's website. It has been replaced with the Final EIR documents (see FEIR Archives). |
