Coalition Committees
Summary
Currently, there are five specific areas in which the Coalition is actively involved and has established committees:
-
San Rafael Rock Quarry (SRRQ) Committee is active in issues surrounding the San Rafael Rock Quarry (SRRQ), owned by The Dutra Company, and the impact of its operations on our community including noise, dust, traffic and road conditions as well as the future impact of its reclamation plans.
-
Loch Lomond Marina Oversight Committee is active in issues surrounding the planned development at the Loch Lomond marina site. The plans to add housing and other commercial developments on this property have an impact on the environment, traffic, recreation, and established commercial services.
-
Wetlands Committee is involved in efforts to preserve and restore wetlands and inlets along the Point San Pedro Road corridor, many of which are in danger.
-
Medians Committee is actively involved in efforts to improve and beautify the medians along Pt. San Pedro Road. This Committee, initiated by the Coalition, is now an independent community committee.
- Disaster Preparedness Committee is involved in coordinating individual and community activities and training in perparation for inevitable emergencies and disasters such as fires, floods and earthquakes.
The Coalition is eager in meeting the needs of the homeowner associations and residents along the Pt. San Pedro Road corridor. If there is an interest in an area that could be served by an existing or new Coalition committee, please let us know via the form on the Coalition Board's Directors page.
