Note that Amendment #2 was approved in 2013. However, in 2016 the amendment was overturned by the Superior Court of California finding it an illegal expansion of quarry nonconforming use. In 2019, this ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeals and the California Supreme Court denied a request for review. The result is that the County is barred from allowing the SRRQ to intensify or expand the use of the quarry site.
