UPDATE to the original posting:
The boardwalk in the area where it was heaved up and broken has been removed . A sign has been posted by the Marina saying that repairs will take a minimum of 30-90 days to complete. The sign also offers to help relocate boats to another slip if owners want to move.

Last night (Sept. 19, 2014) there was a problem at the marina waterfront near the location of a stockpile of recycled asphalt. Material –soil and rocks — seemed to be pushed out into the bay from under the boardwalk and the boardwalk itself was heaved up and broken in three places. The developers are addressing the situation. In the meantime this area is unsafe and should be avoided.
