Marin Transit (MT) has reported that to date nearly 400 area residents and employees have completed MT’s on-line transit demand assessment survey for the Point San Pedro Road Peninsula. Thank you to those of you who have completed the survey. I would encourage those who have not yet completed the survey, you to do so by this Friday, February 12. The more information from the survey that Marin Transit receives the more informed they will be in assisting us with getting some public transit to serve East San Rafael.
Survey Information
The Point San Pedro Road Coalition’s Roadway Committee in response to requests from East San Rafael residents, has been exploring with Marin Transit the feasibility of creating some public transit service to serve the Point San Pedro Road Peninsula. The first step in this process is to assess the current demand for public transit to serve our area.
We are asking the East San Rafael residents, service workers and employees working in our area to complete an on-line survey developed by Marin Transit. Once the data from the survey is tabulated, Marin Transit can then better determine transit needs in the area and identify if operational resources are available to provide transit service to our area.
The deadline date for completing the survey is Friday, February 12. In order to get a representative sample of those living and/or working in East Rafael, please encourage members of your family, those you regularly employ and neighbors to also complete the survey. If you have access to a mail list for your HOA within our East San Rafael area, we ask that you forward this message to your membership.
