The Marin chapters of the League of Women Voters and American Civil Liberties Union are teaming up to present a public forum on
April 13, 7-9p, San Rafael City Council Chamber
to hear from all three candidates running to replace Ed Berberian as Marin County District Attorney:
A.J. Brady, Marin County Deputy District Attorney
Lori Frugoli, Marin County Deputy District Attorney
Anna Pletcher, former Federal Prosecutor
This promises to be the most important race on the June ballot, a critically important election for the future of legal justice in Marin. District attorneys decide whether and what criminal charges are filed and who is deserving of incarceration versus diversion or having their charges dismissed.
Candidates will make short opening statements, and then each will have a chance to answer, in turn, questions selected for clarity and coverage of key issues. We invite you and the public at large to submit questions either at the event or in advance by email no later than April 11 to: MarinDAForum2018@marinlwv.org. The event will also be live streamed (www.cmcm.tv/live), broadcast on local cable and satellite TV (schedule still to be determined and publicized) and posted online for viewing at your convenience.
We hope you will spread the word by sharing this email with friends and other organizations. If you are willing to post on social media, e.g. NextDoor, please contact us and we will gladly send sample text, an image file, and simple instructions.
Thank you!
