The following is provided as a public service announcement:
Some folks are asking what Whistlestop is doing to help, and how they themselves can help. A great way to help is to spread word about the services available to those who need them. I created the attached .jpg from an ad I took out in the Marin IJ, which outlines some of the services folks might want to take advantage of. It should be easy to share in a Facebook post if you are so inclined. The freshly made meals from Jackson Café are only $6 and are available to all. Some folks are getting many meals to take home and eat throughout the week. We are currently trying to work out a plan where our drivers could deliver these meals to folks who can’t or don’t want to leave their homes to pick them up.
We are also currently working on a plan with the County of Marin for grocery deliveries for folks who don’t receive meals but can’t’ get out to the grocery store…stay tuned.
