The pending sale of the marina-related property at The Village at Loch Lomond Marina has closed escrow. That property is no longer owned by Marina Village Associates (MVA) but is now owned by Safe Harbor Marinas (SHM, http://shmarinas.com).
The “marina-related property” includes the breakwater, marina, marina green, yacht club, boat launch and the yet-to-be built Harbormaster’s Office and Boat Repair Facility (and related parking for the latter facilities).
This sale does not include the residential area know as The Strand. The portion of The Strand still owned by MVA includes the as-yet undeveloped residential parcels and the yet-to-be-built commercial/residential building on the parcel now occupied by the dry cleaners and medical offices. The MVA-owned residential parcels is understood to be for sale but the status is unknown.
Andy’s Local Market and related parcel is wholly owned by Andy Bachich and, of course, the individual residential parcels are owned by their respective property owners.
The Marina Committee is attempting to contact SHM to ascertain their plans for the marina property and any development schedule. One important note is that, while SHM now owns the breakwater connector and playground jetty, MVA continues to retain responsibility for the remediation of the flooding issues identified in BCDC Permit Amendment #5 as agreed in the property sale.
