On May 20, 2023, the Coalition was invited to bring our newly purchased and outfitted bright red trailer to a Peacock Gap HOA block party. This was the first public showing of our trailer and the emergency supplies we are storing in it. There was a great deal of interest in our trailer—and in a firetruck from our local Fire Station 55. Check out the photos below!
Because the Pt. San Pedro Road corridor has only a single road for access from San Rafael High School at one end to China Camp on the other, the road is likely to become impassable at both ends as a result of a disaster. This could be due to liquefaction, flooding, landslides, and/or traffic congestion.
Our Disaster Preparedness Committee has been working to help prepare our local communities to be self-sufficient in a disaster for an extended period. Considerable progress has been made in many areas including the purchase of the disaster response trailer and some supplies. More supplies and equipment are needed to complete the trailer that can be purchased with your donations. Please visit the Donate page for instructions on how to make a contribution. Be sure to indicate your donation is for the Disaster Preparedness Fund.
