On Saturday, April 12 (see flyer below) volunteers will meet at 9:00 am at the intersection of Beechwood Court and Heartwood Court in Glenwood (see the map following the flyer). Volunteers must be no younger than 14. Weed wrenches will be provided to use to pull the flammable Scotch and French broom, an invasive species that crowd out native plants, harm wildlife habitats, and change soil chemistry.
Please print out and complete the required waiver (see the waiver after the map) and bring it with you to the event. For any volunteer who is between 14 and 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver. We will have copies on hand for those over 18 who have not brought a signed waiver.
Additionally, please bring or wear:
- Long pants and long sleeve shirt for protection form poison oak/ivy and scratches
- Sturdy close-toed shoes
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- One or more water bottles
- Snack
