If your neighborhood is not already a Firewise Community, please come to Coleman Elementary School Gymnasium at 10am on Sat, April 18th to learn about Firewise communities and how to start one in your neighborhood.
Firewise USA is a national program that encourages neighbors to work together to reduce wildfire risks. The San Pedro Road Coalition strongly encourages all communities in the east San Rafael area to form Firewise neighborhoods and work together to make our communities safer. To date, Bayside Acres, Country Club, Dominican, Glenwood, Knoll, Peacock Point, and San Pedro Cove neighborhoods have become Firewise. Their residents not only work together to mitigate wildfire danger but receive substantial discounts on their homeowner’s insurance policies.
