Celebrate Earth Day by helping to keep our community safe from fire! Join the Pt. San Pedro Road Coalition to remove wildfire-prone vegetation in our area. This year we will be working along the Shoreline Trail from Biscayne Drive eastward toward North San Pedro Road (see the flyer below). Please join us!
We will meet on Biscayne Drive near the intersection with Pt. San Pedro Road. Even if you are unable to pull weeds, we can still use volunteers in other ways! Friends of China Camp (FOCC) volunteers and the San Rafael Fire Department (SRFD) will be supporting us in this effort. FOCC volunteers will be working on the China Camp side of the hill and meet up with our volunteers at the top of the hill. The SRFD will be providing tools for our volunteers that make it easy to pull out the invasive broom plants! All volunteers must sign a waiver before participating (fill it out online when you register or download and print the waiver here and bring the signed form with you).
Please bring or wear: Long pants, close-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, a had, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a snack. We also suggest a long sleeve shirt or jacket and long pants to protect from poison oak or ivy. We hope you will join us to make the community wildfire safe.
