We are reaching out with updates to the Housing Element process. In addition to the site selection process, the Housing Element also includes an equally important section around goals, programs and policies to establish an action plan for the development and preservation of housing and affordable housing. The County is holding a community workshop on Tuesday, March 29th from 6-8PM to provide an overview of programs and policies, and to discuss ideas with the community.

After this workshop, we will be holding another joint Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meeting on April 12. This meeting will focus on 1) continuing the site selection discussion from the March 15 joint meeting, and 2) discuss housing programs and policies.
