Community interest and involvement were high at the Pt. San Pedro Coalition’s well-attended fall Community Meeting, held in the multipurpose room at San Pedro Elementary School (link to video available below). Moderated by Bonnie Marmor, Co-President of the Coalition, the meeting featured exceptionally informative presentations from:
- Marin County Supervisor Mary Sackett, with updates from Marin County
- San Rafael Mayor Kate Colin, City Council member Maribeth Bushey, and Assistant City Manager John Stefanski, with updates from the City
- Kate Hagemann, San Rafael’s Climate Adaptation and Resilience Planner, discussing sea level rise in our area
- Bill Carney, Sustainable San Rafael Board President, discussing that organization’s efforts on climate change and advancing sustainability
- Wetlands expert Dr. Stuart Siegel provided an update on China Camp Roadway Project and San Rafael Rock Quarry Marsh Restoration Plan
- Coalition Wetland, Quarry, Loch Lomond Marina, Roadway, and Disaster Preparedness Committee Reports
