San Rafael District Elections Process

You may already be aware that the City of San Rafael will be moving from City-wide councilmember elections to district-based elections. A key part of that transition will be the determination of the boundaries of each district. The City is currently in the process of determining just what these boundaries will be. This process includes public hearings and community meetings to solicit input from residents. All the information regarding this transition process and meeting schedule can be found on the City’s District Elections website page. If you have any desire to provide input and to participate in this transition, you are urged to check out this site and become involved.

The next public hearing (the 3rd) is tonight, March 5, at 7:00pm at the City Council Chambers, 1400 5th Ave.
