Part I – California Housing Policy & Local Governance
Topic: How can California municipalities and counties form alliances to reform state housing policies allowing for affordable and increased housing stock without compromising essential priorities of municipalities?
Assemblymember Connolly and Mayor Colin will discuss how California municipalities and counties can work together to address state housing policies while preserving important local priorities. The conversation will explore the challenges communities face as state housing requirements intersect with local planning, governance, infrastructure, neighborhood concerns and the need for additional affordable and housing stock.
Part II – April Listening Session Follow-Up
Following this discussion Mayor Kate will remain for a follow-up to her April Listening Session. She will provide an update on the issues and concerns raised by San Rafael residents during that session and continue the conversation with community members.
