It is with great pleasure that we welcome Winifred Dajani to the Coalition Board. Winifred has been the Chair of the Wetlands Committee and has been responsible for an increase in wetlands awareness and an active committee membership.
Winifred is a retired educator and businesswoman. After obtaining her BFA from the State University of New York (SUNY), she worked for several years in the fashion industry designing her own line of accessories for Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and other department stores.
She left the fashion industry to raise her son and subsequently obtained a Masters in French and a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), both from San Francisco State University (SFSU). She taught French at Burlingame High School and English as a Second Language (ESL) through the Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) and at City College of San Francisco (CCSF). She also owned a restaurant in Pacific Heights.
Winifred grew up in Boston and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990. She is passionate about the environment and social justice, an avid reader, and loves traveling to wine regions around the globe (she is a certified Sommelier). She lives in The Strand at Loch Lomond Marina, where she serves as the chair of the HOA Finance Committee.
Welcome Winifred!
