The Coalition’s Marina Committee received an update from MVA yesterday (June 15, 2023). The playground and east jetty remains closed until irrigation installation is complete and a walk thru occurs with BCDC and S.R. DPW The walk thru should result, one hopes, in their acceptance of the work. Once accepted, the playground can be opened to the public while other finishing work is completed (seeding, etc.).
MVA predicts that the irrigation work will be completed by June 23. However, the walk thru and approval with BCDC and S.R. DPW has not yet been scheduled. We will continue to monitoring the situation and report when new information is available.
