Loch Lomond Marina Breakwater Access and East Jetty Playground To Close Soon For Construction

Many of you have been following the status of the development at the Loch Lomond Marina (aka “Village at Loch Lomond Marina”) via the monthly posts on this website. The next monthly meeting between the Coalition and the various entities responsible for this development work will occur on Monday, March 21 and a status report will be posted shortly afterwards.

However, there is a significant development that will likely begin prior to that meeting. Hence, this early posting. The access between the east end of the parking and the marina breakwater as well as the east jetty playground is subject to flooding during storms and king tides. To correct this problem, construction will begin soon to erect a raised walkway on the access to the breakwater and to raise the sides of the east jetty. Once this construction begins, these areas will be unaccessible to the public until the construction is complete. It is currently anticipated that the early steps in this construction may begin by March 18 although full closure may be a bit later. Once fully started, the construction may require closure until November.

Below is a more complete description from Marina Village Associates, the entity responsible for this construction work.
