The Coalition’s Marina Committee’s monthly meeting with the S.R. Community Development Department and S.R. Dept. of Public Works to review the developments at The Village at Loch Lomond Marina (the residential portion is called “The Strand”) was cancelled.
During this past month, very little has changed regarding this development. The proposed sale by Marina Village Associates to Safe Harbor Marinas has not closed at this point. BCDC reported that no change has occurred on any of the permit amendments nor have any new permit amendments been submitted, although they did state that they thought that an amendment related to the kayak launch ramp was expected “soon.”
The only actual work conducted was the completion of the changes to the two Pt. San Pedro Road medians, shifting their spacing to align with The Strand’s emergency entrance. That work was, indeed, completed and in accordance with the plans and permits.
For these reasons, it was decided to cancel the June meeting and resume at the scheduled July 20th meeting. Hopefully, by that time some progress on this project will be evident.
