An environmental review is underway as part of the consideration of the Quarry’s application with the County to amend its reclamation plan to allow the site to be mined through the end of 2044. We have been informed that the consultant engaged by the County for this review is preparing a Draft Addendum to the 2009 SRRQ Environmental Impact Report (EIR). This draft is expected to be released in late July 2021.
The public will have a period of 30 days to comment upon it. The Coalition will comment on this Draft Addendum during the comment period and will encourage others concerned with the impacts of Quarry operations to do so as well.
