California Coastal Cleanup Day is a state-wide cleanup event that focuses on cleaning California’s shorelines, preventing plastics and other litter items from entering our waterways, and raising awareness about the harmful effects of trash in marine ecosystems. The event is part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is organized by the Ocean Conservancy and is the largest volunteer event in the world.
