The Point San Pedro Road Coalition has been informed by a representative of the County that the City of San Rafael, after assessing community input, has decided to withdraw its participation in the County’s Point San Pedro Road Lane Reduction Project Pilot Program. This project would have reduced two east bound lanes of traffic to one lane in the area east of Loch Lomond Drive to Rivera Drive.
As a result of this decision by the City, the County has suspended, for the time being, moving forward with the pilot program pending further study.
The Coalition will continue to closely monitor this situation and will share with you any changes to this status and additional information as it becomes available.
