The Wetlands Committee of the Coalition sponsored a Zoom meeting on the subject of flooding and sea level rise in our neighborhood. The primary speaker was Jeff Rhoads, the Executive Director of Resilient Shore. Jeff gave a very informative presentation on the issues of flooding we already experience as well as the impact of sea level rise along Pt. San Pedro Road.  Jeff was joined by Dr. Stuart Siegel, a Coastal Resilience Specialist and a Research Professor based at San Francisco State University’s Estuary and Ocean Science Center in Tiburon. The speakers encouraged our community to advocate for creation of an adaptation plan to address how we can mitigate flooding and sea level rise.  Â
